In addition to the issues fixed in SP1, the following issues were fixed:
- Setting up OrderDesk for non-English settings - In previous versions of Maximizer, in order to enable the Maximizer OrderDesk for proper use for a non-English operating system, the Regional Settings/Options had to be adjusted; the "Decimal Symbol" had to be changed to a (.) period rather than a (,) comma in the "Numbers" and "Currency" tab dialogs. This issue has been resolved in this release.
- Error code 43 in MaxExchange Remote - When a client that is associated with an opportunity is deleted on the server and then data is synchronized, error code 43 is shown on the remote site. The error occurs after processing the synchronization when the remote site changes the focus from the MaxExchange Remote application to the Maximizer application.
- Error code 543 in OrderDesk reports - When users try to preview OrderDesk reports, the error message; "543: Error detected by database DLL" shows up. SP1a fixed this issue.
- Paradata gateway and Internet Explorer - In SP1 release, Paradata (e-SELECT) payment gateway only worked with Internet Explorer version 5 (or higher). In SP1a release, Paradata works with Internet Explorer version 4 (or higher).

Maximizer Enterprise 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) - Series 1116 Released on April 30th , 2001

- Issue with "Write a Note" Toolbar button - Previously, Maximizer crashed when the user invoked "Write a Note" from the Maximizer 6.0 OrderDesk window, while the Address Book window is closed. The "Write a Note" button has now been disabled in this situation.
- 20-character limit for Pervasive SQL 2000 Database name - When a user creates an Address Book name that is 20 characters or longer, Maximizer crashes because Pervasive SQL 2000 database names cannot be longer than 20 characters. SP1 fixes this by using a system date/time stamp to create a unique Pervasive database name.
- Avoiding duplicate DSN names - OrderDesk automatically creates a Pervasive SQL ODBC DSN name based on the name of the Address Book. Due to the 20-character limit for Pervasive SQL database names, it's possible for OrderDesk to create the same DSN (Data Source Name) for different Address Books. SP1 avoids name duplication by generating DSN entries using the ['mxz'+ {unique long}] name format.
- Error code 51 - SP1 fixes the error code 51 that appeared when users opened or performed a backup/restore on an Address Book folder protected by a password.
- Default entry issues - Previously, when users assigned default UDF values for a default record, those values did not appear in new company and contact entries. As well, Maximizer used the creation date of the default record as the creation date of the new entry, instead of actual date of creation of the new entry. SP1 fixes both issues.
- Maximizer Outlook Calendar Integration - SP1 fixes synchronization issues that occurred when users inserted appointments in Outlook when Maximizer 6.0 was not running. There are improvements in Maximizer/Microsoft Outlook calendar integration. Instead of synchronizing Outlook with the Address Book calendar that's currently open, users can specify the Address Book calendar to be synchronized. See Note 15 on GUI improvements for details on how to use this feature.
- Importing MEC files in Maximizer 6.0 OrderDesk - Previously, if a comma was used in a custom field name (in ecBuilder), OrderDesk would not create the proper UDF field in Maximizer. This has been fixed. SP1 also fixes a rare CRC mismatch error, which occurred during the import of MEC files.
- Exporting inquiries in CSV format - SP1 fixes issues with option, currency code and billing information that occurred when users exported orders/item inquiries in CSV format.
- Maximizer 6.0 OrderDesk improvements - Previously, Maximizer crashed when a user double clicked in the OrderDesk window of a new Address Book. This has been fixed. OrderDesk now supports single quotes in the Item name, Options name and Options value fields. Previously, orders were not saved if users inserted a single quote into any of these fields. Changes to Orders and Item Inquiries are now saved correctly. SP1 fixes certain formatting problems with OrderDesk reports.
- Maximizer 6.0 licenses - SP1 fixes an error message that appeared at the end of a multi-users or work group licenses installation.
- Maximizer 6.0 \Plug-Ins folder - Previously, Maximizer crashed when users tried to remove OrderDesk by deleting files from the Maximizer\Plug-Ins\BPWindow folder or by renaming he folder. SP1 fixes this.
- Maximizer 6.0 Payment Gateways - Updated files for the PsiGate, ClickPay, E-xact and CardService payment gateways now support non-English transaction processing. New Paradata (e-SELECT) payment gateway files have been added. See section 17 for more information about Paradata. A new WorldPay payment gateway which works with ecBuilder Pro 6.0 or ecBuilder Developer's Edition 6.0 has been added.
- Maximizer 6.0 Address Book folder path - SP1 fixes errors that occurred when the Address Book folder path exceeded 116 characters.
- Maximizer 6.0 Word Macro. Link and use of French version of Windows and MS Word - An error in the Maximizer Word macro for the French version of Microsoft Word has been corrected. A new section for French localization in the WIN.INI file has been introduced. SP1 fixes link problems that caused program error messages when users ran the Maximizer Word macro.
- GUI changes in Preferences\System Options dialog - A new Settings button in the System Options dialog box (select File > Preferences > System Options) lets users specify which Address Book calendar will be synchronized with Microsoft Outlook.
- Setting up OrderDesk for non-English settings - In order to enable the Maximizer OrderDesk for proper use, when setting the computer's Regional Settings/Options to a non-English setting, you will need to ensure that in the "Numbers" and "Currency" tab dialogs, the "Decimal Symbol" is a (.) period, and not a (,) comma.
- Paradata gateway and Internet Explorer 5 - Because the Paradata (e-SELECT) payment gateway only works with Internet Explorer version 5 (or higher), the installation will notify you if it doesn't detect IE 5 (or higher) on your machine. If you want to use this payment gateway, you must install IE 5 (or higher), and then run the installation again.
- Opportunity column report - Previously, the Opportunity column report didn't correctly display the opportunity Date type UDF. SP1 fixes this error. Also, UDF fields now display properly in a column report when you add multiple fields in one column.
- Upgrading OrderDesk orders from previous versions - If you use the Tools > Updgrade ecOrderDesk Orders feature in Maximizer to upgrade your OrderDesk database from previous versions, the orders will not appear until you select View > Refresh from the OrderDesk window. Depending on the size of your database, this refresh may take a considerable time. Be patient while waiting for the orders to appear. Your hard drive indicator light will flash during the refresh.
