| Maximizer Enterprise Issues: |
- Creation Date for new Address Book entry - Previously, when a new Address Book entry was created, the creation date was taken from the default entry. This issue was corrected by defaulting the creation date to the systems date.
- Numeric Opportunity UDF in Opportunity view - Previously, when viewing an Opportunity numeric User-Defined Field (UDF) in the Opportunity window, the decimal place would not be displayed. This issue has been resolved.
- Error code 22 during MaxPort imports - Previously, when importing Address Book entries using MaxPort, an error code 22 would occur if transaction journalling was enabled. This issue has been resolved.
- MTI import fails when record length exceeds 1KB - Previously, when a MTI file was imported and the Field Names (Line 3 of the MTI file) exceeded 1 KB (1024 characters), the MTI import would fail. This issue has been resolved and now supports Field Names up to 4 KB (4096 characters).
- Missing columns when importing tab-delimited files - Previously, when a tab-delimited file was imported using File > Import > Address Book Entries, all header columns past 1 KB (1024 characters) do not appear in the "Fields from file" list box. This issue has been resolved and now supports header columns up to 4 KB (4096 characters).
- Emails subject truncated to 31 characters - Previously, when an email merge was performed using Maximizer Compose Email dialog box and the subject of the email was more than 30 characters, the email subject would be truncated to the first 31 characters when the "Save copy to entry's Documents" option was used. This issue has been resolved.
- Email address changes when recipient list is modified - Previously, when composing an email in Maximizer's Compose Email dialog box and the user clicks the CC button to add another recipient to the email, if the display name in the To, CC, or BCC fields match an entry in Outlook's Contact folder, the email address from Outlook would be used. This issue has been resolved.
|
| MaxExchange Issues: |
- Viewing document results in a MaxExchange packet - Previously, when any OLE document was opened, it would result in a MaxExchange transaction. Even when the OLE document was only viewed, the entire document would be synchronized. This issue has been resolved for Excel and JPG documents. The fix is that the user is prompted to determine if any changes were made. This fix is for the document and Marketing Library windows.
- Running multiple instances of MaxExchange Server - Previously, starting a second instance of MaxExchange Server would cause program conflicts. This issue was corrected by preventing a second instance of MaxExchange Server from starting.
- Error 22 on the Opportunity file - Previously, under very specific conditions an error code 22 would occur when processing. This issue has been corrected.
- Dynamic strategy synchronization issue - Previously, if a remote machine made changes to a dynamic strategy, the strategy would become unusable. This issue has been corrected.
- Opportunity completion comment synchronization - Previously, under very specific circumstances, after opportunities were modified on the remote and synchronized to the server, the completion comment of one opportunity would appear in the completion comment field for another opportunity. This would only occur when the second opportunity completion comment was blank. This issue has been corrected.
- Cleaning up distribution information - Previously, the distribution file was not updated when an Opportunity was deleted. This issue has been corrected.
- Removing Site from Team affects clients of Site - Previously, if a site was removed from a team, the clients associated with Opportunities of that team would be removed from the site, even if a distribution group for that client was assigned to the site. This issue has been corrected.

|
| |
| Changes: |
- Conversion of Favorite List - Previously, when converting from an earlier version of Maximizer to Maximizer Enterprise 7 SQL, the favorite list was not converted. This issue is resolved in Service Release 2.
- Note Caption Displayed Wrong Contact for Note - Previously, in cases where the Show All option (located on the Notes window's view bar) was used, the correct associated Address Book entry of the note may not have appeared in the dialog box caption. This issue is resolved.
- User Access Rights
Change During Conversion - Previously, after converting a Maximizer Enterprise 2000 v5.5 Address Book to Maximizer Enterprise 7, all users, which previously did not have full User field (user-defined field) setup rights in the File > Users > Properties > Security tab, would have full User field setup rights. This issue is resolved.
- French Regional Settings Support - Previously, decimal places were truncated (4.33 became 4.00 on save). This issue affected Numeric User-Defined fields, preferences for envelopes, labels, and reports. This issue is resolved.
- Email Support - Fixes and enhancements were made to the email portion of Maximizer Enterprise. These include:
- Previously, when using the Maximizer email window, creating a new email would cause the entire list to be refreshed. Depending on the number of emails in the list, this would be a time consuming process.
- Changes were made to bypass the Outlook Security Patch warning.
- Improvements were made for support of email clients connecting to Microsoft Exchange.
- General corrections - Additional changes were made to correct the following groups of issues:
- GUI corrections including mnemonic and spelling.
- "View all Companies and Individuals" option returned to Address Book list dialog (Pervasive version only).
- Corrected issue with importing large ACT! database.
- Previously, when previewing a report, pressing any button would cause it to reprocess the whole report.
- Speed Improvements to SQL Suites - Speed improvements were made to:
- General Searching
- Refresh window when changing Column Setup
- Hotlist Window Startup
- Notes following window
- Startup
- User-Defined Fields following window
- Optimize CSV import
- Most of the reports
- Improvements/Enhancements to all Suites
- Favorite List dialog: default selected startup list.
- Speed improvements to loading of emails into the Email window by providing the option to not show the Address Book Entry column.
- Global Edit dialog now allows insertion of Customer Service Notes.
- Reassign Hotlist task functionality is now in the Hotlist dialog box.
- Miscellaneous Stored Procedures for eCRM - When this service release is applied to the eCRM suite, the Createsps_misc script is not updated. The script must be run in the SQL Server Query Analyzer on the SQL server.
- Upgrading the Java Web Applications for eCRM - If you already have the Java Web Applications for eCRM installed (you are upgrading or reinstalling Maximizer), you may wish to re-deploy these web applications. It is not mandatory that you re-deploy as the changes affect only minor enhancements to some of the order processing GUI. Some types of servlet engines allow immediate re-deployment, however, in most situations you must remove the existing application and then re-deploy it.
- TCP Port Number Change for eCRM - To change the TCP Port for the Default Web Site in IIS, you must manually set a new registry key.
- Sample Database EMAIL User for CRM (Pervasive) - The EMAIL user used for the Maximizer Email Service is not created for the sample databases. In order for the service to run for the sample databases, you must copy the Email
UserID and Password section of the Mxzdir.cfg file from a new database to the shared Mxzdir.cfg files for the samples databases.
- MaxExchange Server Enhancements:
- MaxExchange Server now has a locking mechanism in place that occurs when the application is unable to perform an operation due to simultaneous access by another process. You are prompted with a message allowing you to reinitiate the process or cancel the operation.
- A new Sites tab in Address Book Diagnostic Tools (MaxExchange Site Manager) allows you to view all Address Book entries and opportunities to be synchronized with the selected distribution site.
- A new Distribution tab in Address Book Diagnostic Tools (MaxExchange Site Manager) allows you to verify that Address Book and opportunity information needs to be synchronized with the distribution sites directly connected to the MaxExchange Server.
- A new verification option used to check for synchronization inconsistencies in Address Book and opportunity information at the end of each processing session has been added to the Address Book Maintenance dialog box in MaxExchange Server. You may then choose to perform an immediate Address Book Maintenance session to resolve the issues.
- UDF View Creation Script for eCRM (SQL) and CRM (SQL) - To resolve an issue with user-defined field view creation, you must run the Udfviewrecreate.sql script for existing Address Books, which includes Address Books that have been upgraded to Maximizer Enterprise 7. This issue does not apply when new Address Books are created.
- Maximizer Web Server Components for eCRM - If this installation is being run to update the Maximizer Web Server components, you should unpublish any published portals in Administrator before proceeding with the installation.
Also ensure that both the Maximizer Web Server and any workstations used for publishing are running the same version of Maximizer Enterprise. Otherwise, your Server Access Code may be denied.
- Workstation Installations - If you are using the Workstation Setup created by the server installation to install workstations, Service Release 2 must be applied to these workstations after the installation.
